About the role:

A challenging and exciting role in a rapidly growing industry, providing R&V services to hedge funds  in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, North America and Asia. This role offers the bright and ambitious candidate a huge opportunity to fast-track an understanding of the Hedge Fund industry.

Commercial Orientation

Business & Commercial Acumen - Uses innovative ideas to improve R&V business performance utilizing detailed knowledge of the workings of all CFS business functions, the products they deliver, financial  instruments fund strategies and systems;
Business & Commercial Acumen - Active participation in the demonstration of enhanced R&V services/products to existing clients and co-ordination & ownership of accurate & timely representation of any sample portfolios in Aexeo (including valuations & sensitivities populated) for potential client meetings;
Risk Management - Commits to and positively  influences the team to achieve accuracy in valuations and associated data generated (through review and automation), creating & implementing CFS-benchmarked controls and process improvements to operational practices;
Risk Management - Able to interpret & monitor adherence to CFS Pricing Policy and CFS Global Pricing Procedures, influencing and ensuring consistent application  (tailored to individual Funds where appropriate); implements appropriate control & review structures to minimize risk through KRIs where appropriate;
Decision-making - Proactively addresses valuation issues and applies  diagnostic skills (various avenues of investigation) to identify cause of issue; making timely decisions and seeing them through to completion (outside of month end cycle where necessary); co-ordinates implementation of solutions across team demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude;

Communication

Client Relationship Management - Assists relationship managers (RMs) by participating in monthly valuation calls; clearly identifies & communicates prioritization of pricing deliverables to RMs diffusing any issues that arise; take ownership of client valuation issues and use appropriate interpersonal skills to deal with client situations; ensuresinformation  is shared across the R&V team and escalated (where appropriate) in a timely manner;
Communication - Clearly conveys information and explains & influences business decisions in a manner that helps others understand and engage in action; drives 2-way communication throughout team;
Developing working Relationships -  Proactively fosters an interactive and collaborative team environment with own and other teams (P&L, Operations, Internal Audit  etc.) and CFS offices (input from NJ and output to Dublin, Cork, Luxembourg, Singapore and Sydney) to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals;

Leading and Managing Others

Leadership - Leads by example, provides clear direction to R&V staff in line with CFS vision and culture to achieve engagement;
Organization & Resource Management - Manage team with responsibility for daily/weekly/monthly pricing deliverables, allocating work appropriately to support and meet deadlines (including explaining and resolving questions about derivatives setups, derivatives valuations and policy and price variance with both internal account manager  (Dublin and Cork) and the client);
Building and Retaining Organizational Talent - Focus on identifying, developing, deploying and retaining key R&V talent (including succession planning) for the future success of CFS;
Building and Retaining Organizational Talent - Contribute to timely performance evaluations;

About You:

Bachelor or master level degree (PhD, MBA, MS, CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA);
Candidate should have a mathematical background
Minimum of 6-10 years experience in financial  Services, preferably with detailed knowledge of finance industry and pricing OTC instruments
Experience of managing a team is beneficial

 

€90,000, negotiable PER ANNUM
